Pastor Howell Scott

Pastor Howell Scott began serving as First Baptist Carlsbad’s Senior Pastor on October 13, 2019. Howell graduated from George Washington University in 1988 and from Florida State University College of Law in 1991. Following law school, Howell moved back to his hometown, Lake Placid, Florida, to begin his law career. After spending three years practicing law, Howell answered God’s call to the Gospel Ministry in December 1993.

Howell’s favorite verse of Scripture is found in Isaiah 26:3.

“You will keep the mind that is dependent on you in perfect peace, for it is trusting in you. Trust in the LORD forever, because in the LORD, the LORD himself, is an everlasting rock!”
